Elles Bailey - 'Wildfire'

Bristol artist Elles Bailey has evolved rapidly in the past few years and is hitting the diverse music scene of her home town with an edgy rock spin on country-tinged songs. Her debut album Wildfire is due to be released on 1st September. 

The title track which is also the first single, is a smoky, western sounding track which makes you tap your heel and bob your head, giving summery vibes and showing off her husky vocal qualities. 

Blackbird Studios in Nashville are the masters behind the release, which is a self-confessed dream come true for Elles.  It’s also pretty fitting with the American vibe within the lyrics and overall style; you could almost be scuffing your own cowboy boots on the streets of downtown. 

Same Flame has a revengeful feel to it in the vein of Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats, while Perfect Storm is romantically styled and similar in sound to Shake It Off, Bailey’s Taylor Swift cover. If it’s classic rock you’re after, then Let Me Hear You Scream will give just that. Highlights of the album include What If I, Barrel Of Your Gun, Shackles of Love, Believed In You.

Here is a strong act that on listening should make female rock fans feel empowered and sassy. She exudes this kind of confidence and will most definitely remain firmly on the circuit.
