Words by Adrian Ball
Tony Harnells distinctive vocal with TNT was a highlight of melodic rock in the 1980’s, gracing many decks in homes and rock clubs.
Turn the clocks forward and Tony is adding his unique warbling to the Lovekillers and it makes for a beautiful combination. Accomplished, well-written, melodic rock songs that are relevant to the current scene, but with more than a glance back to the 1980’s heyday. The tracks are written by Tony Harnell and bass player Alessandro Del Vecchio along with other great writers.
The unmistakable vocals are the first thing that hit you - right between the ears. The presentation of the guitar and drumming is gorgeous and polished to a very high shine. The guitar work is outstanding and gives a nod to an almost classical style of playing, which sits so well with all the songs on the album.
Highlights include the opener Alive Again , the laid back Across the Oceans and the stunning No More Love. Melodic rock has never sounded so good and the link back to the 80’s makes for a wonderful album that deserves to do well. Fingers crossed for a tour in 2020 and a chance to see these fantastic songs live.
