At The Sun - 'Leave Before The Light'

Words by Adrian Ball
At The Sun rock out of London, spreading their infectious heavy grooves across the UK.  2017 saw the release of the bands EP, having completed the difficult search for the right line-up.  Harry (vocals), Chet (guitar), Kieron (guitar), Alex (bass) and Craig (drums) were then ready to show the world what they had to offer.
Fast forward to 2018 and an amazing third place in the Hard Rock Hell Highway to Hell competition, beating many bands along the way.

The next phase in their rise to glory is the release of their debut album Leave Before The Light; it’s loud, heavy and has a beat that gets the neck tilting back and forth like a see-saw.

Preacher is a true out and out rock track with raunchy vocals, crunching guitar and enough attitude to scare the locals. It’s a true sing-a-long track. And keeping the pace of delivery at full speed is Breathewith amazing guitar work and a more relaxed, melodic vocal.

Walk on Over shows a powerful, soulful and bluesy side to the band and a change in pace allows the song to be fully absorbed and admired.  The range of vocals and guitar work is highlighted like bright and shining stars in the sky and the drums blend in wonderfully.

The album shows real breadth and depth in the rock genre we have all come to love.  At The Sun play a fantastic mix of hard hitting heavy rock and can really turn on the soul when needed.
