Rainbreakers - ‘Face To Face’

Words by Adrian Ball
West Midlands rockers Rainbreakers are releasing a collection of tasty riffs, swagger and classy rock which is their debut album Face To Face.  Ben Edwards (vocals and rhythm guitar), Charlie Richards (lead guitar and keys), Peter Adams (bass) and Sam Edwards (drums, percussion). bridge the gap between, rock, blues and soul with songs that shift from delicate to heavy in an instant.

It’s a very personal album for Lead Singer Ben, which also highlights the writing talents of the band as a whole.  Every song is skilfully crafted to gain the attention of the listener and pull them in, then gives room for the smooth delivery of each story.

Opening track Heavy Soul sets the tone with its silky, caramel-like vocals and a guitar riff that hooks you in immediately.  The confidence continues throughout the album, like a proud peacock showing off its feathery display.  Highlights include the mesmerising Got Me Where She Wants and the funky to its core Lay It On Me.

A tour is to follow in the autumn, promoting the new release and Rainbreakers must be on the list of bands to see this year.
