The new single from British rock band Vega Grit Your Teeth, released on 20th March, is taken from the forthcoming album of the same name, which is due for release on Friday 12th June via Frontier Records. As Nick Workman (vocals) states ‘Don’t try and tag it with any sub-genre of rock or metal, just enjoy it.’
The single is a defiant step away from the lighter melodic rock we have become used to but not far enough to lose sight of the band’s 80’s influences. It has a harder, edgier approach while maintaining their great song-writing and musicianship. Stunning vocals and a catchy chorus but all delivered with a heavier soul. This is a strong first single that sets the bar high and if this is anything to go by, the album should deliver plenty.
