Filmed at the legendary Barrowlands in Scotland, in an empty hall, giving a precious behind-the-scenes peek at where everyone would like to access at least once; a chance to get behind the music.
The beautiful simplicity of the video mirrors the music and it’s all that’s needed. Stripped down, allowing the elements to shine.
This is one man and his music; an incredibly powerful voice, a guitar, a spotlight and a story. It’s compelling and emotive, pulling at the heart strings and prompting contemplation on whatever is going on in your own life. Music is a powerful thing and this is one of those songs that draws emotion, even if unwillingly.
John plays as an older couple dances, putting a vision to the lyrics ‘as we sail from cloud to cloud’. It's an honest and raw song, as the singer puts himself out there via means of a gritty vocal. Shot from a distant viewpoint, the video lacks close-up detail, but the song doesn’t.
