The late Gary Moore’s career is celebrated again with one of his last performances before his untimely death aged 58. The album was recorded live at Islington Academy in December 2019, fourteen months prior to his passing.
Live From London sees Moore deliver a frenetic and empowered display as a guitarist and a singer, with a collection that spans three decades. He showcases some of the influences that inspired him with an energetic reimagining of Albert King ‘s Oh Pretty Woman, as well as a heart-warming version of John Mayall’s Have You Heard
The finger blistering skills prominent on Parisienne Walkways now seem a bit melancholic, but still a joy to listen to.And one of the songs that reflects his style the most - Still Got the Blues is enough to cause goose bumps an a lump in your throat.
Overall, this proves a telling tribute to a gifted musician that the world lost too soon.
